Forest Hills Swim Club is private swim club located in southwest Roanoke County in the Penn Forest neighborhood. The Club is conveniently located to the Tanglewood Mall Area just off Route 419 or Electric Road. Forest Hills has been serving the area since the early 1960’s and was completely updated about five years ago.
The Club’s focus is to offer good safe water fun with a family image and values. The trained staff has been together over seven years with many of the lifeguards working over twelve years at this pool alone.
The pool offers complete bath and shower facilities. The pool area has a junior Olympic pool (25 meters/ 8 lanes) with a 45 x 45 feet 12 feet deep diving well offering two one meter diving boards and one three meter diving boards. The facility has a basketball and volleyball area. The facility has a detached fenced baby pool and shelter area for shade.
The pool furnishes all the chairs and tables that one will need. The pool offers a snack bar that includes the normal candies and chips as well as pizza, hot dogs, pretzels and corn dogs. The snack bar is for convenience and members may also bring their own food (NO GLASS CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE FACILITY).
The club has summer swim team that competes against other area teams in the Roanoke Valley Aquatic Association. The team has six Monday night meets beginning around the 9th of June and ending with a weekend championship meet in late July.
